2024: End of a Business Era of minding our P’s and Q’s or just the beginning. The business world has been turned upside down by ensuring everyone’s sensitive feelings are in line with the world. But, has this become the business end or are we now seeing with a new incoming president of Donald Trump a world where we are back to doing what’s best for all and not just a few.
I’ve been in business for over 50 years. I’ve worked in the financial world, real estate, and construction. I’ve seen the best of employees move on because others got their feelings hurt. I hope business changes. Corporations need to stand up for all employees, not just a few. Have you ever heard the words, the squeaky wheel gets the oil? One employee is not fighting for all; they are only concerned about their own benefits.
Recently, I sat at a table with several young workers just joining the workforce in their mid-20s. The common theme of our conversation was that they “expected” to be treated and compensated like owners and not like entry-level employees.
I’m unsure how to fix this issue, I am just trying to understand why people don’t think they need to put in their time before being rewarded.
